Can someone explain adding notes?

Can someone explain to me how one adds notes to a particular passage. In Logos 3 that was simple. Now when I add a note it ends up under a "quotes" note file. And when I do the paste it has what I copied and pasted, but doesn't include the source from which my quote comes from. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve

Steven, if you have only one note file (Quotes in your case) everything will get added there. Create another note file ahead of time and when you right click to add to a note file all your note files (or at least the recently used ones) will show up to select from.

And when I do the paste it has what I copied and pasted, but doesn't include the source from which my quote comes from.

This is a reported issue. I don't know if it is to be addressed.

Click FILE > and then on the new side, click NOTES. Then name it commentary notes by clicking on the pencil.

Create another note file ahead of time and when you right click to add to a note file all your note files (or at least the recently used ones) will show up to select from.

I should have noted that you will need to have the note file open and selected for it to show up on the right click menu.

I was wondering if anyone knew whether there is any way of dropping my note and clipping files into my 'favourites' folders? I have tried dragging, but it does not seem to be taking it... It may be that it is not possible... If not, it is not a big deal...

If you didn't know this, you can drag and drop notes from one note file to another if you have some end up where you didn't intend. Just open both of the files in two different panels and left click and hold down on the note file colored square and while dragging it to the other file.

Be sure you drag on the small tab of the item you are trying to drag, not the big icon in the ULH corner of the resource pane. That works for me.
