3rd Party Unlocks

I remember something being brought up about this but don't recall the specific answer or if there was one. I see things like the "insert name here"(Sproul, McArthur, Geisler,etc) on sale for 29.99 and Ebible collections like the Expanded for 59.99 (which includes some really good resources that are not part of regular collections or are part of the out of my budget upgrades right now.

In V4 is can we now call Sales inform them of the location (Rejoice, CBD, etc) and pay and have it unlocked or do we have to order, receive the cd and then run the scan command... Was this ever officially decided?

I doubt that you can call Logos and order them at someone else's price. That leaves installing them (usually as 3.0 resources), synchronizing your licenses, and letting 4.0 discover them and download the new files.

I thought there was something mentioned by maybe Dale when they offered one of the commentary sets at 399 when someone saw it at Rejoice for that price... Haven't searched the posts to find it yet, trying to remember exactly what the offer wound up being...

I think that was a "one time" offer of a large resource set (Word Biblical Commentary), where you actually could buy the CD version from Logos at the same price. It would be very expensive for Logos to try to match prices for the lower priced CDs as over the phone unlocks as some of those resource lists are quite complex and extensive, with each one needing to be licensed to you "manually" at the other end of the phone rather than "automatically" as installation from the CD via version 3 would do. Most organizations these days charge you an extra fee to do things over the phone or in-person what you could do automatically another way, except for occasional bigger ticket items!!
