When I unplug my external monitor the Logos windows mess up

Almost every time I go from dual monitor down to just my laptop, Logos can't seem to handle the resizing. Just like the screenshot shows, it will be offscreen and unreadable on the left, yet on the right have blank space. It seems the only way to reset it is to open the layout again or restart Logos. Does anyone else have this problem?

Are you saying that you hook up a second monitor to your laptop, or that you are using a layout from another computer with dual monitors?

I've only seemed to notice it when I open Logos up on a dual display, with External monitor as primary, then unplug the external monitor and use my laptop display as the only monitor. Doesn't seem to resize correctly.

I don't know if I am missing something, but my experience has been that these kinds of programs never resize under the circumstances you described. Do other programs you have resize appropriately? Which ones?

I'm sure I've confused the conversation somewhere. When I'm using Microsoft office products (IE: word, ppt, execel) and unplug my monitor, I will often have to minimize and maximize them to fit my screen correctly...which is normal, annoying but normal.

With the Logos window, it will shift to my primary monitor, but if you notice (see picture) the text on the left will run off of the viewable screen, while the edge of the window on the right expands. When I resize and hit the layout button it doesn't do anything to adjust text correctly in the window...so it forced me to restart Logos.

I think there is a mouse/shortcut key that will fix this faster, but I can't recall it.

Instead, before you disconnect your external monitor, do a Windows+P and select "Computer Only"; that will force the windows in the external monitor to reposition to the laptop screen--and they may resize too.

In Windows 7 (and vista?) you can use the WIN+ arrow keys to automatically adjust the window.

WIN+LEFT will align and dock on the left side of the screen, the opposite with WIN+Right.

WIN+UP will maximize the program and WIN+Down will minimize.
