I would like to move my Logos4 directory to another drive in my system.
Currently the pathname is E:\Logos4, I'd like to move it back to my C: drive since I just installed a bigger SSD.
Thanks!
Greg
How technical are you Greg?
There are options.
The easiest would be to use the steps here (Quick Installation onto multiple computers) and just uninstall/reinstall to the new location.
ELSE you could manually move the material and create a static link in the OS from E to C. That one is slightly more technical but faster. If you do not know how to do this, I suggest the first option.
I'm a techie.
I was actually going through the registry and was thinking that might be the way to do it.
Using links means I have to keep that old drive letter around.
Alternatively you could mount the C:/logos directory to the drive letter E using drive management.

Welcome [:D]
Observation: Logos 4 has a Resource Manager SQLite database file with the full path (location) to resources.

I used method 2. Which, I had to uninstall and then reinstall to get it to work. It's assuming you're moving to another computer.
I'm not sure what to do with your observation, i.e., SQLite db with full path to resources? Is there a config file somewhere to edit?

Suspect method 2 silently updates resource location column in a table inside a SQLite database file (after copying Data folder).

Whilst Method 2 is primarily aimed at installing Logos onto another computer it is logically compatible with installing or re-installing on the same computer. It uses the standard web link for installation so the resource location is determined mainly by where you choose to install the app i.e. the Logos4 folder. Within that it is located at \Logos4\Data\random_Id\ResourceManager\Resources. The random_Id is stored in the Logos4\Users folder which you copy across and it is associated with your Logos logon.
Hi Greg, what size ssd did you get? I moved Logos to my E drive cause my ssd was overloaded, thinking about upgrading.
I use slickdeals.net for finding deals on technology.
Recently they had a deal for a Corsair M4 256GB SSD for $199. I replaced an older Intel 80GB SSD with it.
Works great! It indexes and searches crazy fast.
