Smyth and Helwys Bible Commentaries
You might want to check out the Cecil Sherman Formations Commentary (5 Vols.)Dr. Cecil Sherman served as the primary commentary writer for the Smyth and Helwys Formations series of adult Bible study for nearly fifteen years. In those years, he contributed to nearly 700 sessions across 45 issues of the commentary and addressed an extensive amount of Scripture.
Would it be possible to add the following commentaries Brazos Theological Commentaries published by Brazos Press Smyth and Helwys Bible Commentaries Thank You
I'll second both of those requests. Judging from the sample pages, the Smyth & Helwys commentaries look to be much richer than the Cecil Sherman Formations Commentary, and I think would be useful for pastors. I was introduced to Smyth & Helwys "Adult Uniform Series" Bible Study materials through a Sunday School class taught by Jimmy Carter.
Brazos has volumes by some top-notch scholars like Jaroslav Pelikan and Stanley Hauerwas. I'd order it in a heartbeat if that series were available in Logos format.
Dan any possiblity of adding Holman Old Testament Commentary?

+1!!!!!
YES! I have been so impressed with the Theological commentaries series!
Definitely yes! [Y] yes! [Y] yes! [Y] to Brazos Theological Commentary.
I'm not familiar with Smith and Helwys, but I'll check it out through the link.
The S&H commentaries look good. From their home page it looks like they come with a CDRom. True?
Yes, the included CD-Rom contains a PDF of the commentary.
Yes to Brazos commentary!
The Brazos series is now in pre-pub and listed as "Under Development":

A priest friend of mine gives a hearty endorsement of these: "this new Brazos commentary line is stellar! They're written from a theological approach to the Scriptures, rather than a more text-critical approach, so they are less voluminous (chapters tend to be only 10-12 pages) and also infinitely more enjoyable to read straight through. Hence my usage of them for devotional reading."

That would be totally superfluous for the Logos edition. Don't need more CD-ROMs. Download only, please.

thank you, you two, for resurrecting this two year old thread for some salient observations to be disseminated. I have been enriched.

BUMP! Smyth and Helwys Bible Commentary Series.
This is an excellent series!! I have 9 in the series already, but would prefer purchasing them from Logos and have them in my Logos library!! The hard copy book with accompanying CD-ROM is a good combination but it doesn't match the functionality of Logos.
Faithlife obviously has a relationship with S&H considering the "Reading the Old Testament Commentary Series" and "Reading the New Testament Commentary Series" Logos now has for sale. The "Reading" series are OK and I have them, but they are nowhere near the magnitude of the S&H Bible Commentary series.
Smyth and Helwys Bible Commentary Series.
I would buy this series. [Y]
