I got an Intel 330 series 180 GB SSD primarily for my laptop (see specs below). The main problem was that it wouldn't fit until I hacked away at a rubber "bump stop" and then the computer wouldn't boot until I ran the Windows 7 Repair Disc (it was imaged from the original HDD).
Where the larger HDD was the limiting factor in the Windows Experience index (5.9) the SSD is now the highest rated at 7.6 and the System Memory (RAM) is now the limiting factor (5.9)! Interestingly, the Novabench score is less because it doesn't rate the SSD as highly as the HDD, but its performance in booting Windows and loading applications tells a different story...
Searches in L4, on the whole, are now faster than on the Desktop i7 with HDD where previously they were up to 2x slower! Some searches are 3x faster than the desktop.
So .. I'm quite pleased with this "budget" Intel SSD
