I just began studying 1 Thessalonians and ran a passage guide on chapters 1-5. When I clicked on Biblical Places I expected to see Thessalonica in the list of places but did not. Does anyone know why?

Most likely because Thessalonia as a place name does not occur in the first chapter - only the name of the residents.
