Could the Logos Home Screen show Articles, Christian History, and or Pictures which are relevant to This day, week or Month in History? The info could be World, US and Christian related.
It's a great idea and I'd love to have it, but I see it as very low priority compared to bug fixing and missing features.
Hmm. Coming to think of it, it should be possible to crowd source a .docx that could then be compiled as a PB calendar devotional and prioritized so that it shows up on the Home Page.
Yes! Indeed! In fact, thank you very much indeed to Steve Clark I have a devotional calendar that opens every day on my home page! *smile*
It is a personal book, and I am the author. I usually spend a few minutes a week updating it, particularly when I find something that's especially meaningful to me I hesitate to share it because it is indeed personal. However, I would share a page or two if anyone needed that help. Probably Steve's help in this thread would be quite enough.
Peace to all! ... and ... Always Joy in the Lord!
For more details and a "how to do" please refer to this thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/38166.aspx
Here is a "sample" from upcoming September 14 which is Holy Cross Day in the Western Church, perhaps also in the Eastern Church. Will have to research that.
Also, I plan to add some images as I have inspiration and opportunity top my PB! BTW, I think the major source of information for my PB is Wickipedia, but can't remember for sure! *smile* That's one reason I am a bit reluctant to share.
Completely off topic, but an old acquaintance of mine wrote his dissertation on the Finding of the True Cross. Maybe something for Logos one day. And our Church of Sweden Benedictines are named the Brotherhood of the Holy Cross (and they've got a real certified relic of it as well [:)]).
Would be better if rather than US it was World, Local Country based on Windows Setting and Christian...
Peace, Graham! As a Canadian, I agree with you!
This has two possible levels. One. The one I have created for myself for my own personal edification is personal and I have total control. My mother church has a Historical Institute which sends us (upon request!) an e-mail everyday caledl "This Day in History." As well, my denomination (NOT Roman Catholic!) celebrates and/or observes a lot of special days in our lectionary, for example: Today we observe Johann Gerhard, Theologian .... yesterday was the Commemoration of Isaac .... Wednesday August 15 was St. Mary, Mother of our Lord.
Two. If someone else compiled a PB that suited all of us, I guess that could be shared on the Logos Forums and if it was a properly formatted PB could be properly priorticised and show up on our individual Home Pages..
