Can't make fonts big enough...

I love the idea of this program... That's why we bought it.  I love the technology, the signals and the cloud, the connection to Logos.  But simple stuff just isn't simple sometimes in Proclaim.  I'd LOVE some advice on how to enlarge fonts.

 

I make the text window bigger, it enlarges the font some... but only sometimes.  The font point size number seems to make no difference either.  For a church like ours we need at least 60-80 point type to be seen well.  

 

Any ideas?

I think you may be running up against what is one of Proclaims good (but least understood) features.

In traditional 'word processing' you can increase the size of fonts and the line simply wraps round. This is great for normal text but wrecks havoc with the flow of poetry or song lines - line breaks appear in silly places.

Proclaim allows the length of the line to be set by the song writer and limits the text size so that the longest line can be accommodated on the slide.

In order to increase the font size over this limit you will need to locate the line that is limiting the size and choose a suitable break size - once you have done this you will be able to increase the size until the next longest line hits the limit.

It is really just a new way of thinking about the text - in the old way you had to reset the breaks to make the text flow - this way you have to choose appropriate breaks in order to increase the size of text. Once you get used to it I think you will find the new way is actually more efficient.

As to the size actually needed - I find the presenters often under-estimate what can be read easily from a distance. I recommend a bit of audience research before making the text so large that it becomes disjointed.
