Read Aloud appears to be a new feature on the mac which I'm very grateful for. I use screen readers extensively. The problem is that if I enable it or press command R it jumps to the previous header and if I scroll the page it stops.
As a minimum please ensure that:
It starts reading at the top of the visible area It continues reading until pressing command R again.
It continues reading when scrolling or page turning in reading view.
If text is selected then it should only read selected text then stop.
Can pause and continue playback.
Better yet:
The best screen readers actually highlight the word being spoken.
Pause briefly when meeting a word in greek or hebrew which cannot be read.
Have playback controls on screen or make use of the controls on the apple keyboard.
I wonder what others think? I'd love this feature on ipad too.
