As with many of us, getting Logos 4 up and running has been a real adventure.
First it wouldn't install on my work PC as the proxy server firewall wasn't detected properly. The Logos4 developers fixed that.
Second, it couldn't connect to the internet due to my parental controls program. Not that we knew that at the time - but with a lot of help from Bradley Grainger, we worked out the problem and 'fixed it' (use another parental controls product). Not that Logos was at fault here - the parental controls just did not fully support .NET 3.5 and blocked Logos...
Now that I have it installed I would also like to thank whoever it was who showed how to easily copy a Logos 4 installation to another computer (I can't find the thread right now) - this has saved me hours!
Thanks to this I now managed to hget my full Logos 4 set up on a netbook in less than an hour and am pleased to report that it works well - obviously slower than my main desktop, but once the program has loaded it responds quickly enough for my purposes - great for reading books on the train to work, etc.
A lot of people made a lot of good suggestions to help me get up and running and these forums are a great resource.
I only had Logos 3 for a couple of weeks before Logos 4 came out, so I haven't had muthis new version is so much pain in switching to the new version - and this new version is so much easier to use... Once the PBB support is out, I will consider it to be the complete Bible study program...
So, thanks to all!
Andy
