Libronix update problem

Recently, when I run Libronix update or the update addins script, under Optional Resources, it is showing that the NIRV and the TNIV have updates available. I do not have licenses for these and if I download them, they are locked. Is there a way to avoid showing updates for resources that you don't have a license for? - I've never had this problem before. (And so far, it is only with these two resources.)

Not that I can think of.

You can however go to Tools>Options>General, select Hidden Resources and add those two resouces to the list and they should not bother you in the future.

I believe you must already have a copy of these resources on your hard drive. The update only shows updates for the resources that exist, whether locked or unlocked. I have used to have several locked resources that I got updates regularly for. Deleting the files stopped the updates.

I have no TNIV update. It has to be some problem with the script. Some days ago I had the same problem with the German Luther's Bible. I do not have license but in all update scripts it offered update of this Bible and did it again and again. Now it is OK already.

EDITED: Just to add a note for Todd: when I deleted the file from the HDD did not solve the problem (not even from the Inbound folder).

Well, it was worth a shot...perhaps a Refresh Resources would fix it?

Well, I don't know. The problem just disappeared after some days. Today I did all the updates and all works all right. It looked to me as a problem on the Logos side.

I noticed a while back that when I did an update that I would get the same update again when I ran the query again. I finally realized that after I ran the update, open Logos and go to your account summary and sync with their system.."Your Licenses". Once I done that, I no longer get the same updates.

Just for everybody's enlightenment.............

Justin's method of hiding resources does get rid of annoying offers to update locked resources.

On my Libronix (Version 3.0) laptop,when I ran "Update" I kept getting an optional update for Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers First Series, Catholic Edition. That resource is locked and I don't have a license for it. But until I found this thread I had to constantly be reminded of it. After adding the titles (one-by-one) to my hidden resources list, I now get the "no updates" message. Thanks Justin!

btw Chris: Synchronizining my licenses did not prevent the optional update offer. It just kept showing up. (Tho' they ARE locked resources on my system.)
