Installed and downloaded the Beta from scratch, on a new machine, and everything synched except the short cuts.3162.awesomium.log
This is the only log file available.
Do you have diagnostic logging turned on, as described here? http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging
If so, you should at least have Logos4.log. Could you post that here, or turn on diagnostic logging and then post it?
Additionally, could you please provide your shortcuts.db for us to look at? It should be located here (with the section in bold unique to your machine):
C:\Users\Lynden\AppData\Local\Logos4\Documents\so2ahnar.vnr\ShortcutsManager
From your post, I'm unclear if you have Logos installed on an older machine with the shortcuts still intact: if so, could you provide the shortcuts.db from both machines for us to compare? Thank you.
0564.shortcuts.db
From a current machine with the short cuts on it.
6518.shortcuts.db
83257.Logos4.log
Thank you Lynden, I will pass these on to development for investigation. Just to verify, your original computer (with the shortcuts intact) is also a Windows machine, is that correct? Which operating system is it running (Windows 7, Vista, etc.)?
Windows 7 on both. The one with the missing shortcuts is home premium and the one with shortcuts is Pro.
Bump.
I don't have anything to help you, but I can tell you that there is a similar issue with a user on Mac. If I come across the thread, I will put up a link.
Lynden, you are not alone.
My PC laptop runs Windows 7 Pro (64 bit).
I run the latest "Stable" Logos4 on my main administrative user account. It has shortcuts. [And no "issues."]
I run the up-to-date Logos4 "Beta" on another Administrative User. It is a new installation. Everything BUT the short-cuts is/are working.
[Fortunately, it is not my "main--go to" installation].
SO there appears to be "SOMETHING" going on somewhere for "Some" of us! [How's that for equivocation?].
Am following this thread to see if there are answers/or others with the same issue.
Regards
This issue has been resolved in a future update. Additionally, you should be able to resolve your current problem without the update. Go to your original machine (the one with the working shortcuts) and make an edit to your shortcuts. This could be something like dragging the order of one of the icons. This should trigger the shortcuts to sync over to your new machine.
The issue does indeed have to do with fresh installations of the beta not correctly syncing the shortcuts.
