I've noticed that whenever I copy a passage from a resource to quote in a paper for school, etc, the Turabian footnote isn't formatted correctly in the word processor. It's mostly correct in terms of order of the items like author, title, etc. But other things will be off, like it's not indented properly, there's a space between the footnote indicator and the author's name, the font always defaults to Helvetica or Cambria (Mac, Pages and Word respectively) even if I'm using Times New Roman (or others) which is basically the standard for writing papers, and a number of things like that.
I don't know if this is only a Mac issue, or if this is only with Turabian, but it would be nice if you Logos guys spent some time making the formatting more correct. I understand that it may not be feasible to expect the footnotes to instantly be perfect, especially concerning the data from the resources. But if you could just fix some of the format issues and make it closer to Turabian 7 than it is now, that would be great. This seems like a pretty simple fix, and any time you could save us with these kinds of things is more time spent studying and ministering.
If nothing else, if there was a way for us to personally tweak it ourselves and have our own saved version, that would be great. Like if you guys could put a text box on the info panel of a resource, where you click the little "i" with the circle around it, where we could personally create our own footnote that we could save that would be duplicated exactly whenever the resource is quoted that would be fantastic. I recognize that page numbers wouldn't work with that, but that could be kept automated, or we could simply add that one tiny bit of info ourselves in the word processor. I, personally, would gladly take the page number hit if a feature like this that allowed everything else to be just right every time was implemented, especially since Logos doesn't allows have page numbers anyway.
Or if that's not possible, simply having more options that could be personally tweaked would be nice, such as default footnote font.
