Copying resources from one computer to another

I have Logos 4 on 2 computers - one is connected to the internet and the other is not. The computer that is not connected to the internet has about 500 less resources that than the other. I am assuming this is because I upgraded from L3 Gold to L4 Platinum and my non-internet computer only has the Gold resources.

I tried copying a couple resources from the internet computer to the non-internet computer, ran the scan command and now have access to them on the non-internet computer.

As far as I know everything works fine. Did I do anything to mess up my non-internet computer?

Interesting .... on a side note I need to wipe my hard drive and do a fresh install and dont want to sit there downloading 8 gb of data off the net for L4 for Windows.

What did you copy across and from where to get the resources over? Also what is the scan command you ran and where to i find it in L4?

Shane,

the scan command enables you to scan a directory for resources which have not been installed.

Copy desired resources to an external drive.

Plug drive into computer which is lacking these resources.

In command bar "scan e:\path\to\resources"

Close L4

Restart

The resources should be added to the library and a supplemental index built.

I was copying my files from an XP to a Vista.

My resources on XP are located at:

C:\Documents and Settings\Ron\Local Settings\Application Data\Logos4\Data\yrv2jh0f.ute\ResourceManager\Resources

On Vista that are at:

C:\Users\Ron\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\2hws1ewh.jp0\ResourceManager\Resources

When I found a couple of the resources I was missing on my non-internet computer I saved them to a flash drive and pasted them into the above file on my Vista computer.

The "Command Bar" is located on the Logos 4 home page at the top center.

I typed: "Scan C:/users/ron/appdata/local/logos4/data/2hws1ewh.jp0/resourcemanager/resources"

The scan command is where your resources would be saved on your computer - so it would not be identical to mine. Also do not include the quotations.

After typing the scan command, I closed Logos 4 and opened it back up. It took a couple minutes for Logos 4 to "prepare my library" and index, but when it reopened by resources were there.

I tried the scan resources and gave it the correct drive and folder and it did nothing. The next time I started it waited a minute and started downloading 7.8 gb of data. So either it doesn't work or I am doing something wrong.
