Searching on iPhone
Hi,
I wanted the reference to "Light of the world ..."
I got no hits when searching on iPhone. Nothing for salt which is in the preceeding verse. I would have thought that searching for light shine father would have narrowed things done ...
Just amazed that I got no hits at all for some of the above searches.

David - First, welcome to the forums! Sorry you are having problems.
I can confirm this issue. It appears that there is either a bug or a problem with the servers. The app is designed to search via the Logos servers primarily. I tried the search offline, and it worked fine for my downloaded bibles.
I will create a new thread for this issue.

Reading other posts and faq suggests that iPhone doesn't download bibles. So that I can't test.
Searching works for other books, but still appears to be out for the bibles I'm interested in. (NIV, NET, ESV)

I can assure you that you CAN download bibles... if you own a license to use it. Do you own these resources? Which base package do you have?

Can you explain what steps you are taking?
FYI - As I wrote in my last post, these searches are supposed to be run on the Logos servers under normal, online conditions. When I first tried to replicate your results, I too had difficulties. I am currently able to perform the searches fine.
