Highlighting Question

Could someone give me a definitive answer that the highlighting I now have in Logos 3 and the highlighting I am now accumulating in Logos 4 will eventually seamlessly sync together such that nothing would be lost. Further, would this highlighting then sync in the Logos 4 Mac version when that feature is available?

Logos is working on integrating our notes and highlighting from Logos3 into Logos4. I'm not sure how seamlessly they can make this work. Theoretically, the highlighting should work across platforms, but since we don't have anything to test, we can't say how well this will work in reality.

I've seen note importing working internally; we're days away from
having the code done for notes and highlighting, then we'll do testing
and then deploy it.

The plan is to import whole note files, preserving their names. So there won't be conflict with anything you do in Logos 4 now.

Highlighting won't overwrite your highlights on a book, but will
merge into it. It's possible you could import a highlight "on top of"
one you makein Logos 4, but they'd both be there, the way you can
manually overlap them now.

That's about as authoritative as you'll get.

OT: Actually, there's no way I can keep up with all of these posts, or keep all the facts straight. I'm starting to feel like backing off a bit from 'trolling for support questions.' I've got to get back to the rest of my life at some point. I don't know how Thomas B. and Philip S do it.

With the arrival of the wiki and the FAQ I'm hoping things will calm down now.

I know I'm continuing an off-topic discussion, but sometimes I feel a bit like those Galatians trying to earn the grace I was already given.

Other times it's just my simple gratitude to Logos for all they've done for me over the years (a la Heidelberg Catechism Q&A 2).

Usually it's a bit mixed.

Yes! Unless you frequent these forums it's unlikely that you know about the wiki. Granted, they are probably waiting a little while as the content on the wiki gets fleshed out. Personally, I've been impressed with the amount of information on it in such a short period of time.
