Parallels & Win 7 64bit

I recently purchased a 17" macbook pro after my old PC laptop went down. I successfully loaded Logos 4 for Mac on it, after getting tech support involved, but am disappointed with it. It is just not up to what the PC version has. I have been on the phone with tech support multiple times and every time they fix something, something else goes wrong. I understand that it's not their fault but I can't continue on like this.

I have to install the PC version soon. I just bought Parallels 7 and am looking for a deal on Windows 7 64 - I have spent too much money already trying to get this to run.

I'm sure this has been answered before but I'm looking for some advice as to how to set up parallels and Windows 7 for Logos for Windows. Any help would be greatly appreciated. On top of my Logos issues, I'm new to Mac also. I think learning Hebrew and Greek would have been easier at this point!!

Wiki Mac and PC User Interface Differences has => Feature Parity that shows Logos 4 Mac needs many improvements. Yesterday, Logos released 4.5c Release Candidate 1 to the beta channel => 4.5c Release Candidate 1 (4.53.0.2254) available that includes ~ 22 feature parity improvements.

Depends, personally suspect learning Hebrew is a bit more difficult than changing computer platforms. Apple wants electronic devices to be easy to use; often can drag and drop stuff.

I have the same configuration, I have it working for a very long time now.

If you have a retail version of Windows 7 with your CD Key, the Installation of Parallels and Windows 7 VM is quite straight forward; just follow the Parallels on screen instructions. I assume you have enough RAM and Disk space. I recalled I took all the default settings when I did the installation, it works for me.

Let me know if you have any specifics that you need to compare.

I am keeping Parallels and Windows 7 on my Mac only for Logos 4, Waiting for Logos 4 for Mac to catch up with Logos 4 for PC

Just a couple of suggestions:

If you use Time machine, you might want to exclude "Parallels" from being backup by Time machine. Specifically the folder where the VM is stored here ~/Documents/Parallels. I recall Parallels 7 setup will do it for you ... just in case.
You might want to have Parallels run with the integrated graphics instead of the discrete graphics. I have also turn off 3D graphics acceleration in Parallels. I see no visible performance improvement for Logos 4, just more heat generated. It can get quite hot, and drain your battery. I recall the setup has a question to prefer "longer battery life".
You might want to download http://codykrieger.com/gfxCardStatus v2.1, I use this to tell me which graphics system it is using and allow me to switch them.
I think you can take default for the rest ... you can change them later if you wish.
