Does Logos 4 have any documented programming API?
It's restricted to COM as follows:-
Also see http://wiki.logos.com/COM_API_Bible_Book_Abbreviations
For forum posts do a Google search of community.logos.com/forums for "COM API"
Thank's Dave,
I'll check out the API links and do further searching on the forums.
This is possibly unrelated -- but it is possible to run Logo's 4 under a virtualized platform,
so that any thing's I do via the API don't effect my settings or account?
If you're a developer, you'll understand why I consider this related to my original post (unit testing)
I have a few things I am looking to do, not sure if its possible with the API
(1) Export/import clippings to-from other citation tools I am using for seminary research (e.g, EndNote)
(2) Be able to define bible reading plans using a Excel "reading plan" calculator, I've created (outputs XML).
This tool supports things, like genre-based plans, parallel readings (for example, reading the Gospels in parallel over some time period)
I am rambling?
Yes, have run Logos 4 in several virtual machines running Windows. Suggest setting Use Internet to No.
Wiki has => Quick Installation onto multiple computers
Another option is creating a personal book => Chronological Bible Reading Plan - PBB file.
Keep Smiling [:)]
You can export clippings via Print/ Export (Ctrl+P) and choose the format that best suits importing to EndNote.
Logos doesn't import from third party tools so it will have to be copy/paste.
