The indexer has been crashing on me for several days every time it tries to run. Just upgraded to the final release of 4.5c and it's still happening.
Log files attached.
You shouldn't have 'Supplemental' index files. I'd remove any files with that in their name from the PersonalBookIndex folder and try again. Delete the whole folder if necessary.
Thanks. I did a rebuild index and that seems to have taken care of it. There are no supplemental index files anymore anyway, and it made it through the full indexing with no crash.
But how it got into this state is still puzzling. I've been using and updating Logos regularly all along, and I thought the "supplemental index" stuff was removed quite a long time ago. But this crash just showed up within the past few weeks. Oh well. It's a mystery. Like many things.

I'm pretty sure I've read something about supplemental indexing in "the past few weeks". No idea what it was, though. You will have to look for yourself if you're interested. Perhaps something in the release notes for one of the 4.5c betas?

When books are updated they are indexed into a 'supplemental' index which is then merged with the main index and removed. If there are problems along the way, the 'supplemental' files may not be removed! When the Indexer subsequently encounters these files it assumes that it is safe to continue, rather than remove them. Bradley should be able to add to this discussion.
