I noticed this on CP

Coming from an evangelical background I was wondering folks' thoughts on this for someone who is looking for a reference to add to my library on historical background, doctrine, rituals, etc. on Roman Catholicism.  Would this be a solid choice or perhaps "too much information"?  Or are there better choices?  Seems like the price will be hard to beat.

Should likely be ideal for a historical look. To round out modern teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, I would recommend
