New Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible vs AYBD

I know the Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary is a legit, well used by many, encyclopedic resource.  But I have just heard of the New Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible.  What is it like?  Is it like a newer AYBD, headed toward being an academic quality standard for many denominations?  Or is it a biased resource promoting certain views rather than giving most major viewpoints as unbiasedly as possible?  Etc.  What are your experiences?

New Interpreter's Dictionary is very similar in depth and theological approach to Anchor Yale Bible.  It is a bit newer and its scholarship is excellent.  It is a bargain, and does not represent any theological agenda.  Like Anchor YBD, the New Interpreter's Dictionary is not as evangelical theologically as some others.

If you like Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary, you would probably like New Interpreter's.
