For the past month, Logos has been making me login every time I launch it. This was happening before the last update, and has been continuing since.
I'm using a 2011 MacBook Pro, running OS 10.7.4.
Any thoughts? Tips?
Jason,
I apologize for the perpetual sign in screen. This issue is caused due to a permissions issue on your Mac.
Please run the following commands one by one in Terminal. If they are entered correctly after you enter each one it won’t indicate anything happened.
chmod 755 ~/.configchmod 755 ~/.config/.monochmod 700 ~/.config/.mono/keypairs
chmod means “change mode” or permissions. The numbers 755 mean “read and write”. So when you type that command you are asking the computer to change the permissions to be able to read and write to the config folders.
Once you have permissions to do that the computer can save (or write) the users sign in information.Launch Logos 4 and you should be good to go.
Please run the following commands one by one in Terminal.
Steve, would Repair Permissions possibly fix this issue? I think probably not, but thought I would ask just in case.
Honestly I don't know, I haven't tried that method. These steps are something that I received from the developers.
Found a simpler way. When you tipped me off that the issue likely lies with permissions, I knew an quick and easy way to fix that:
1) Right click on Logos in the Applications folder
2) Click "Get Info"
3) Open "Sharing & Permissions" at the bottom of the box
4) Set Priviledge to "Read & Write" on the desired user
Viola!
Thanks y'all!
