I really love Warren Wiersbe 'BE" series and I was wondering are there any more authors like him I can purchase.
Love Wiersbe's work as well.
Terribly disappointed, though, that the Be books aren't available for the iPad. They're not exactly books I care to read in long stretches at my computer.
Will also be interested to see what recommendations others have.
Take a look at J. Vernon McGee (you may already have it) and Jon Courson. Like Wiersbe, both are strong life application commentary sets where one author speaks. Mattoon would be good too, I think, but it is in pre-pub and will be there a while, I fear. The MacArthur set is also good, too, though he goes deeper than Wiersbe. For one-volume type commentaries of this nature, see MacDonald's Believer's Bible Commentary and Zuck's Bible Knowledge Commentary.
