Anndroid System bar suggestion

As Android 3.0 + allows, can the system bar at the bottom of the screen please be changed to the dimmed bar with the three dots instead of the icons (as is implemented in Kindle, Aldiko, Moon+ Reader etc). When reading in low light the default bar in way too bright for comfortable reading. At least allow an option in settings to switch to the alternative bar.
