According to the Baker website, the books offered in the UBCS are repackaged. Did this series have a previous name? Anyone familiar with the history of this series?
The Understanding the Bible Commentary Series is the repackaged New International Biblical Commentary Series.
That means that this set is the Old Testament counterpart to this set.
Thanks for clearing this up, Elliot. I think this means that the Publication Date is a little misleading. Presumably it is the date they were repackaged (2012), rather than the date that the commentaries were originally written. Perhaps Logos could add an Original Publication Date in these instances. This would be much clearer, hopefully avoiding confusion and possible frustration from users later on.
Thanks again for clarifying so quickly.
Andrew
Thanks too for the clarification.
Everyone should know that Logos plans on July 8 to raise the pre-pub price--currently $99.99--up to $179.95
October 1, 1993 was the first release of any of the books (1/2 Kings) and yes the date is slightly misleading but Daniel isn't even scheduled for release till January 2013.
