Sentence Diagramming

Two questions about sentence diagramming:

Does anyone know how to remove those pesky little descriptive words automatically associated with the diagramming elements? Every time I pick an element to add to my diagram, a little word comes up with it (e.g. "Indirect Object" or "Direct Object"). I don't need these, and they often hang around and obscure the word that is on the diagram.

Second, how do I get more open space at the bottom of the page? I need more space to build my diagram as I add to it, but no space opens up unless I add another element at the bottom, and then only just barely enough opens up to add the new element.

I am finding both of these problems exceedingly annoying (the system worked much better under version 3).

1. To delete the descriptive words simply hover on them to select and then right click to delete.

2. The second issue is a long standing problem with the sentence diagram tool that has never been fixed. A work around is to insert your passage twice and drag the second entry down until you have the space you think you will need. If you end up needing more drag it down farther. After your diagram is complete you can delete the second passage entry

1. Deleting a couple of these occasionally is no big deal. Deleting them repeatedly in the process of constructing your diagram is a real bother. I found that if you drop your word just the right spot, the descriptive words will go away automatically. But sometimes it does not work, especially if you resize the diagramming element.

2. I figured out your suggested work around as I was working on my last diagram. Dragging stuff to the bottom of the screen all the time to gain more space is a bother as well. Never had to do that with version 3.

Right now, I think I'll do my diagramming in version 3 and import the diagrams into 4.

While I'm on the subject, do you have a suggestion regarding importing/copying parsing info from the exegetical guide into the diagram area? That was my standard procedure previously--make the diagram, then copy significant parsing info into the space next to the diagram. That way I had most of the info I wanted on one page. I could just copy and past the parsing right from the exegetical guide and drop it on the sentence diagram page. I can't figure out how to do that in 4.

Thanks for the encouragement, but I'm hesitant to post my crude diagrams for all to see. No doubt they are less than perfect in many ways, but I find the process helpful for my own study.

I took a look at some of your diagramming work and found it very good. I wonder if you've experienced the same difficulties I have with using the diagramming tools in version 4? Looks to me like you have no problem. What are the "tricks of the trade" for using the diagramming tools effectively?
