I don't know about you, but there are a lot of hidden jewels in those collections .... collections that I couldn't see purchasing but would love the single titles.

Quite honestly, I view it as one of Logos' best bargains at the moment ... getting the book I want at a fraction of the collection cost (I know, I know ... someone else has it cheaper; but I like to read in Libronix where all my books open to their proper place and I know where I'm at).

So thank you Dana. Each of the Logos.com pages must be a significant investment in time for the site crew.

With that name (i.e. Dana VALERIE) and her cute picture I don't see how you cannot tell she's a woman...lol...Anyway, you probably had something else in mind. The gem this week is 'Did the First Christians Worship Jesus? The New Testament Evidence' by James Dunn

Dunn mainly shows up in my library in the two WBC volumes on Romans. Logos also offers another of his volumes where he's critical of the historical Jesus logic. Plus he has several other commentary volumes.

I wanted the 'worship Jesus' volume mainly because it goes into depth on the 'worship' language in the NT. He essentially concludes 'no', but it's the 'data' that I am most interested in.

In my previous collection breakout, 'Opening the Sealed Book: Interpretations of the Book of Isaiah in Late Antiquity' by Joseph Blenkinsopp (who did the Anchor Yale Isaiah). This is a gem since it looks at the use of Isaiah moving out of the exile into the 2nd Temple period and thense into the rabbinical and Christian. I mainly wanted it, since (my impression) Jesus used Isaiah as his main touch-stone, along with Deuteronomy.

I presume you know Isaiah used to be called "The Fifth Gospel"? Some day I'll suggest John FA Sawyer's The Fifth Gospel: Isaiah in the History of Christianity for Logos, if I haven't already. Actually, I already have it in paperback; I just haven't had time to read it.
