Daily readings

I like to read the current days/weeks reading of: My Utmost For His Highest; the NRSV Aprocrypha Reading Plan; and the Revised Common Lectionary. Problem is with new Logos 4 I can't figure out how to get the references in one place, and get them to update to the current reading date. Does anyone know how to do this? "Daily Readings" help doesn't "help". Thanks to anyone who can help.

My Utmost is indexed by the dates. Simply open it and it will open to today's reading.

I'm not aware of the others.

John, I just looked at the Revised Common Lectionary.

It is the same thing: Index is by date. So opening should, it does for me, open it to the reading for the next Sunday.

I don't know about the NRSV plan. But you should be able to set the range for it, in a Reading Plan, to be from where you would expect to be today as the start and the end of the plan for the end date (end of year) and it will calculate the readings for the rest of the year (some variation may occur). If it is a reading plan that takes you into the OT and NT and Psalms, for example, each day - I set up three separate reading plans or more if it skips around the Bible (doesn't use the biblical order). So, if it is supposed to complete Jeremiah by Nov 27 and your supposed to be on Jer 14 today, put those in as the start and stop dates and range. It may make for a lot of different plans, but it can work.

I have been doing one plan, but my church just challenged us to complete the NT in the balance of the year, but do it Romans - Rev on weekdays and the Gospels and Acts on Weekends. I have one plan for weekdays and one for weekends, plus my own plan. Works for me.

In another post, Phil Spitzer, pointed out this link: http://wiki.logos.com/Reading_Plans It has the McCheyne plan, which jumps all over the Bible. If you follow that format, you'll be able to generate a custom plan if the NRSV one does jump around.

Again, figure out where you should be today and make that the start

Then, next year, make it for the whole plan.
