I haven't seen this in the forums yet, so I thought I'd post. I downloaded and used (I mean, actually USED) Logos 4 last night. I have a copy of Libronix 3 installed already, but I was following the link to download the Faithlife Study Bible and went ahead and got the v4 as well.
I haven't used Libronix much, but I'm taking Intro to Old Testament this semester, and thought it would be a nice research tool. I already had the NKJV Study Bible with Libronix, and thought Faithlife would be a good resource as well.
Now that I've told you all the history and why I'd like to use the software, here's the problem (and I imagine I won't use anything associated with Logos 4 as a resource either). After using the software fine for hours last night, I tried to run it again this morning, and the horse keeps throwing me off. At first, it seemed to be a problem with "ntdll.dll", but I don't have the logs for that one. In fact, the only recent and intact log I have is 4263.Logos4Error.log; the software uses between 85% and 100% of the CPU resources (as viewed in Task Manager) and virtually locks my system down until I kill it, sucking down 125-135k of memory at the same time, so I can't even work on my research paper in the meantime. It's killing my productivity, and I've waited several minutes each time to see if it will finally ease up (I've tried at least 3 times to get it to run). Because of this, I don't have any other useful logs. As I mentioned, I used it just fine last night, and nothing has changed on my computer in the last 24 hours except the addition of Logos 4, so I don't count the memory complaints in the log as being valid. I even tried to disable all firewalls/ad blockers so that information could flow freely on the internet connection.
I enjoyed using it last night, and was starting to get used to it. All my resources migrated from Libronix seemingly automatically. I hope I don't have to write it off as a memory hog and put it back on the shelf.
