Two comments on notes: It seems that there is signficant lag between typing on the keyboard and being accepted into the note. I have observed this on more than one computer so don't think it is the computer, but rather the software design. It is very hard to type a note because with the lags it's always hard to tell where you are. I can't tell how the entries in notes are sorted. Some of them appear to be sorted by Biblical reference, but others almost seem random. What is the sort order and what drives it? I find it very awkward to not be able to change the key word for a note. Once it's entered, seems to be no way to edit. I find that being constrained to a single index key word is also awkward. Many notes have multiple keyword possibilities, and it would be handy if there could be more than one for a note. A simple example is the tag logic for these support messages Something along that line would be much more powerful.

If you look through the forums, you will see that a lot has been written about the note function in L4. Logos has a uservoice site asking us for our feedback (http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4), and the suggestion to improve notes is number one.
There are ways to sort notes (date, reference, note color, and another option of two). Click on the note icon to drop down the setting menu.
I am not sure of what you are talking about key word for a note. Can you give a screen print of what you are talking about.

Each note is atached to a single subject (or perhaps keyword). Once attached it cannot be changed, and it can only be one thing. I'm assuming this is meant to help classify notes by subject or topic and aid in searching etc. For many notes, they may apply to more than one subject. For example there may be a note that is about God's Sovereignty but also about his lovingkindness. You can only pick one subject.
The concept of taglines, or keywords is much more powerful (in fact it is used in this message system for support where you can select several different subjects that a message may apply to). This would allow you to add more than one topic or subject for a note. With this concept you add as many as might be helpful in searching, so almost all posts have more than one tagline. I think most of my notes would have more than one subject as well.

Thanks Dale for the additional info. You are correct. You can only attach a note to one item. It can be attached to the highlighted text in a source, or it can be attached to a reference. Most of my notes are attached to a biblical reference, and I can only attached my notes to one scriptural reference even though we use four reading every Sunday, and my notes cover all four readings for the Sunday. Part of the note request on uservoice talks about this, and there have been a ton of post talking about this huge limitation.
I too have brought up the topic of adding tags to our notes, and I believe that this too is also part of the uservoice request.
As far as I know, people have been complaining about the limited function of notes in their software, and I have seen that pattern continuing with notes for the mobile apps.
