Slow Scrolling in Search Results

Hi all,

I've been experiencing slow scrolling in my search results anytime I get a long page of results (or a multi-page one). It takes three seconds for it to scroll through the selection it scrolls through anytime I do one swipe down the trackpad--if I'm trying to get halfway down the page, it can feel like forever. It's also hard to get anywhere quickly and still be accurate, because with all the lag if I take my finger off the trackpad it will keep scrolling in that direction for a few seconds.

 

Is this "normal" for Logos? I'm running a base early 2011 13" MBP with 8 GB upgrade of RAM, so the hardware is not an issue. If it is "normal" could we see some scrolling improvement in search results? If not, does anyone know what I might do to speed it up to normal smooth scrolling?

Dear Zac: Scrolling issues are pretty normal for Logos, at least for time I have had it . ( over a year).

There are a couple of things that do help: Do not "link" more resources together than you absolutely have to at one time. Try to make search queries as specific as possible to reduce results volumes, keep "guides" as simple and specific as possible/needed and do not have more guides open than absolutely needed.

Doing these things has helped me with scrolling issues, but it is still slow and the "overrun" issue is a known issue.
