Right now whenever I copy paste from Logos to MS Word I get a footnote with the author/publisher citation at the bottom of the page.

Is there a way to change this? I know I can change the actual format but I want to be able to change it from a footnote.  There are times I don't want any citation ( copy a bible verse into a sermon), there are also times when I would like the citation to show up right after the quote ( sermon illustration to give credit) and there are times when I would like the footnote not to be at the bottom of the page but rather at the end of the Doc (this function might be in MS Word control)

Is there any way to control this?

Hi Ed.

In the Logos "Settings" window, there's a "Copy citations" setting. I believe that if you disable this it will prevent that footnote from being created in the Word document.

When the content gets pasted into Word, you should see some kind of little lightning bolt icon appear near the end of the pasted text. If you click it, it will give you different copy options. "Keep Text Only" will place the footnote content immediately after the pasted content, instead of in a real Word footnote.

Because I occasionally want the citations and other times don't, I leave the "Copy citations" setting enabled in Logos. After pasting, if I don't want the footnote, I select the footnote superscripted number and hit the "Delete" key. That deletes the entirety of the footnote - the superscript and the footnote content. (That assumes I didn't use "Keep Text Only", in which case I'd have to highlight the entire footnote content to delete it.)
