How could I find out how εν is translated in the phrases "ἐν ἡμῖν" OR " ἐν ὑμῖν" in, say, the NKJV?
Bill,
An easy way to do this is to open up a morphology search and search for the following: ἐν BEFORE 1 WORD ὑμῖν. You could expand it a bit, incase there are intervening words between ἐν and ὑμῖν. Once it populates the search, you can then add any version you want to see side by side with the Greek text.
You can also switch the search from ὑμῖν to ἡμῖν as well.
I hope this helps.
Cliff
One option is a morph search in KNJV for:
ἐν BEFORE 1-2 WORDS ὑμῖν, ἡμῖν
Also could do morph searches using lemma's:
Keep Smiling [:)]
Thanks, Cliff.
What I ended up doing is search for "ἐν ἡμῖν" OR " ἐν ὑμῖν" in Byz and then creating a Passage List of the results. Then I searched the Passage List in the NKJV and used ANALYSIS [under SEARCH] and RESULT under Analysis to summarize the various translations.
Thanks. Very helpful.
