Logos App preparing library constantly
I'm having a problem with the Logos App for months now. I've tried practically all the possible solutions that I could find on this forum but nothing seems to work.
I think the app was working before I ever upgraded to v2.
The problem is that I can't see any of my books anymore. I've uninstalled and reinstalled so many times already that I can't keep count anymore.
When starting fresh I get the sign in and "preparing library", sometimes it crashes and I have to restart the app again. Sometimes after a new reinstall it goes all the way through.
When I can finally get to the library screen, I always see a progress bar on top with preparing library or something, but it never finishes no matter how long I leave the ipad on.
I also notice on my router modem that it's not doing any activity on the internet while it's doing the preparing library thing in the library section.
I noticed a thread about a similar problem with the Vyrso app. It also seems updated to 2.1.7 while the Logos app is still on 2.1.6. The last post on that thread seems to indicate that the problem is fixed there, I'm going to try the Vyrso app to see if I can at least get in and start reading again.
There is something that I found out during all these crashes. I don't know if it's related or not, but my son also has a similar logos package when I asked him to login with his account on my ipad, everything seems to work. The only major difference between his package and mine regarding configurations is that he doesn't have much user tags.
Almost all my books have multiple user tags, including a lot of disregarded ones, because Logos has no easy way for me to manage the user tagging.
I'm running the Logos app on an iPad with os 4.3 something. I also hope this isn't iOS related, because I really don't want to upgrade to iOS5. I really don't need all those new things. I was already satisfied with my original os 3.2. When I finally upgraded to os 4.3 the ipad became noticably slower. I just want to read on the device and don't want it to get any slower by upgrading to v5 os.

Henry - Sorry you are having troubles. My first question for you is what do your notes & highlights look like on your L4 installation? Do you have a lot or a little? I would certainly try the 2.1.7 version of Vyrso. The apps are nearly identical at the points they share.
Out of curiosity, what version of L4 are you running?

I don't really understand that, but OK. I am running iOS 5 and it runs smoothly for me. I am bummed that iOS 6 won't run on my iPad when its released. Maybe Santa will bring me a new one. [:D]
