I love using Logos for Bible study and reading the few ebooks I have in my logos library. There's only one problem; what about the stuff that wasn't from Logos. I understand that selling marked-up, parsed ebooks is the company's whole business, but hear me out:
*Keeping track of my own sermons requires numerous folders to organize .doc files.
*Several freely available sermons and scholarly articles come in .pdf format, which need their own organization--I have tried using Evernote because it can search pictures and pdf's for text, making them searchable, but it's not suitable for large libraries as it syncs all that data and wants a monthly fee for large libraries.
*Being able to keep able to add free or user-generated content to logos and adding a few tags would greatly add value to the platform, making it synonymous with one's computer library rather than just a research tool.
The only reason I could see for not pursuing this would be 1) concern over piracy, but most importantly 2) working on other features first, e.g. missing L4 features, L4 for mac, etc. Just a thought.
Grace & Peace,
Kyle
