I recently ordered the Platinum package and started to install on my Macbook pro, and after it indexed and prepared my library none of the books are showing up in my library. Anyone know what the problem is?
Trevor - Welcome to the forums!
Did you install from a DVD or from a download? Are you sure you used the proper credentials (email address?)
How long did the download take? Indexing?
Welcome [:D]
Apologies: without diagnostic logs, know = no.
One option is contacting Logos Technical Support => http://www.logos.com/about/contact
Another option is login to http://biblia.com to verify resource association with your Logos.com account. If a number of platinum resources appear in http://biblia.com wonder about Logos.com account and password used for Logos 4 Mac sign-in ?
Third option is enabling diagnostic logging, restart Mac, launch Logos 4 Mac. If blue Logos icon appears in your menu bar, please wait for blue icon to disappear. If no resources appear in library, then compress log files and attach to a forum reply.
Optional: download and use 5504.Logos4MacLogging.app.zip to display your logging setting, then change to enable logging.

I installed from a cd and it only indexed of like thirty minutes and it confused me because I have read it takes hours. When it finished the only thing it indexed was a commentary that i bought about a month ago.
I guess my real question to be answered would be, does the resources automatically download from off the cd when i insert it or do I have manually install it? I am not computer savvy so a lot of the "tech" talk is over my head.

Unless you are in a 'broad band challenged' area the best thing to do is to make sure that you are signed in to the correct logos account and then allow the resources to download. If you use those on the CD you are likely to have to download a whole lot of updates anyway so the time saved will be minimal.
If your downloads don't start automatically and you have checked preferences to ensure that 'use internet' (bottom of General section) and 'Automatically download updates' (top of general section) are both set to 'Yes', then give Customer Services a ring and they will sort it out for you in two shakes of a lambs tail.
Haha. I called tech support and they said that my product never got registered into the Logos server. I think it actually took three shakes of a lambs tail though [:D]
