Windows resize themselves

I have a dual monitor setup that, up until this past week, has worked quite nicely for me. But since the latest updates from Logos, the windows in monitor 2 will resize themselves whenever I open a particular layt=out, even if I have just saved that layout in my desired arrangement.

For example, here is a layout that I have saved as O.T. Study properly displayed:

7624.proper layout.docx

Here is the same layoutafter saving and reopening at a later time:

3386.incorrect.docx

This began after the software updated early last week or the week before, I don't recall. At first I thought it was a fluke, but it does it no matter which layout I open.

I have used this same setup for several months without any issues so it does seem to be related to the recent updates.

Any thoughts or possible explanations would be very much appreciated.

Did you use this layout on another computer? I have noticed this happening when I have a dual monitor-saved layout and then open and re-save it on a non-dual monitor computer. If specs are different the layout doesn't look the same.

Good thought Dominick, but the other computer is also a dual monitor setup and I have used it in the same manner for months without this problem. And even if I save a layout on my home system as desired and then reopen it on the same system later in the day without using it elsewhere, I will see the resizing issue.

It really isn't a major problem just an annoyance that has me puzzled.

If you are so inclined you might want to play around with it. I have suspected for sometime that one computer influences another in layouts, but I have not been able to prove it.

This was my first thought when it began to happen, but I see the anomaly even if I don't boot up the other system for several days. I resave all of my layouts daily on my main system at the desired arrangement. Still happens.

Hi Bob,

Can you, instead of having two separate windows on the left-hand screen, join the two windows into one, and make the panels of equal size. This may make it easier for Logos 4 to keep the correct size of the window on the second screen. Thanks!

Not sure what you mean Tommy. Are you saying to stretch the main Logos window across both displays then arrange the four panels accordingly? I tried that early on and the entire display across both screens would only fill half of the screens horizontally whenever I closed and then reopened.

It's all moot now anyhow. I swapped the two displays, i.e. I put the main Logos program window on display number 2 and my commentary windows on display number 1 then save my individual layouts. They now open in the manner that they used to open. Apparently it has something to do with the second display. I know that not only has there been several updates to Logos but also several to WIndows 7 over the last couple of weeks. Apparently one of those updates made a change that caused this anomaly.
