It's a bit annoying that the forums send me email notifications of everything that I post - I thought this feature was so I could keep track of other's responses, not my own? I know what I've posted!

The sending of email responses to threads isn't that intelligent. Once you have subscribed to a thread, you get all replies to it - yours, mine, anybody's.
This is the only forum I use (and there are many) which does this - all the others seem to be able to distinguish.
Ah well. I'll sit back and wait for that notification to come in.
And thank you for that. If you ever decide to change it, please make it optional. Unlike the OP, I desperately need to keep track of [some of] my own posts (read: bug reports).
