Notes in HDNT?

I just purchased the High Definition NT ESV edition and I'm amazed at how it breaks down the text and lets you see how all the passages interrelate - but I would also like to see my notes that I have already put in on my regular ESV Bible. The HDNT has an option to include my note file (under the circular "filters" icon button), but when I check the box to include my note file in the HDNT, the only notes I can view are the ones attached to the verse #. I don't get any of the notes that are attached to words in the text. I thought that since both these resources are ESV they would both display the same notes from my notes file. Does anyone know why this is, or if I can get all my notes to show up in the HDNT without rewriting them all?

Were your notes attached to a "reference" or to a "selection"?

I believe a selection in these cases. They were selections of the words in the Biblical text.

Then the notes are tagged to your regular ESV. For a note to be available over more than one Bible it has to be attached to the reference.

Liam - Philana is right. When you create a note by selection, it will be seen only in that resource. To get a note into more than one resource it must be by reference. FYI - ALL highlights are by selection only.

I had the same problem. By default Logos does not tag notes to the reference. I had to go back to every note and change it to reference. Now all my notes show up in every Bible including the HDNT.

Ok, so it sounds like the only way to have the notes transfer to other Bibles is if they are tied to the verse reference, and not the specific words in the verse. This is a bummer because I like to write notes on specific words or phrases, rather than long notes with comments on each phrase in a particular verse. Oh well, I'll just keep my HDNT note free and use my reg. ESV for note taking.

Correct. There isn't an "attach to lemma" feature.
