running logos on an ultrabook

Is anyone out there running logos on an ultrabook, and if so, what system/how does it run? I have been running logos on a 4 year old Toshiba Satelite and have never been very impressed with the performance. I'm looking to buy a new computer for school, but want to make sure that Logos does well on most ultrabooks before I make the investment.

They are not as fast as notebooks so get one with a large (> 180 GB) SSD** as its speed will make up any lost ground.

** SSD = solid state storage as opposed to hard drives (HDD).

Have it on a Samsung Series 9 UB w/ i5 processor. Works great...just wish I had a much higher resolution screen. 1024x768 is not optimal for Logos--too cramped if running many tabs.

I agree, an i5 second or third generation CPU is faster than a 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo. Here is a benchmark result list: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Processors-Benchmarklist.2436.0.html

I would recommend buying a used laptop with second or third generation i5 CPU and 7200 rpm HDD.

I've been using a 1366 x 768 pixel monitor since end of 2011, and have had Logos since April 19. 2012. I strongly recommend at least a 1440 x 900 pixel monitor.

1024x768 is not optimal for Logos--too cramped if running many tabs.

They were developed as an Intel response to the popularity of tablets vs PC's. So it is small, thin and light and runs Windows OS as opposed to the similar Macbook Air which also uses Intel processors. The main advantage is visual appeal and portability as its performance is limited by components designed for low power consumption (it can't disperse a notebook's heat in such a small package). If you get one with a high-end i5 processor and SSD, though, it should be OK for L4.
