Catalogue Illustrations

As a preacher, and Bible teacher. I use illustrations to help people see concepts and truths that we discuss. Often times I come across these illustrations just going about my usual tasks . Is there a way to catalogue and tag these illustrations so that I can access them later?

Personally, I use evernote for this purpose.  The tagging and searching feature works well, and makes illustrations easy to find for future reference.  I like the fact that I can input new illustrations(/notes) whether I'm using my iPad, iPhone or computer - and the notes sync across all devices.  I also like the email feature with evernote, where you can type  the contents of a note (or cut and paste something you read) into an email and email it directly to your own unique evernote email address - and then it appears in your evernote notebook.  You can also access your evernote notes via the cloud by using any computer with Internet access.
