Prioritization & Passage Guide

I have watched Mark's video as well as the one by Morris. My understanding is that the top 5 prioritized Bibles and the first few commentaries should show up in the passage guide after making changes to prioritization.

I made those changes last night, have quit Logos and restarted and the passage guide appears the same as it did before.

It has the Bibles that I had previously had prioritized correct, but it only shows WBC in the panel for commentaries. I have K&D second and then two others.

Is there some other place where I am supposed to pick the Bibles and commentaries I want in the Passage Guide? Or do I need to manually put them in each panel and save that layout to manually make it work?

Bibles do not normally show in the Passage Guide - there is not a tab for them.

and the first few commentaries should show up in the passage guide after making changes to prioritization.

However the first few commentaries should.

Here are a couple of screen shots from my system - if yours is significantly different please get back to us.

Have you checked that the other three actually have commentary sections on the passage you've entered in the PG? Not all commentary series have volumes on all Bible books.

If you have, can you post screenshots of your priority list and your PG.

Now I'm confused. It looks to me like the PG shows the commentaries in exactly the order you've prioritized them?

Not quite sure what you are asking. Have you clicked the links in the PG for the other commentaries?

Looking at screen shot, highlighted arrows in WBC commentary for different locations, which is greyed out. The WBC commentary shows location as Deuteronomy 6:4-9 that could be changed to a different Deuteronomy passage (e.g. De 1.1) that would cause an arrow to become black so can navigate to different locations within resource.

To open another commentary to the same passage, try clicking the + next to WBC, which opens a new tab with list of commentaries on the right side in prioritized order, then click commentary title or book cover. Also try clicking other commentary titles in Commentaries section.

I thought (must be mistaken) that in the commentary panel, the other commentaries that were prioritized would show up in additional tabs without clicking them to open them.

Logos 4 has a learning curve to becoming proficient. Wiki has Getting Started with Logos with many Tips and links.

Thankful for many friendly forum discussions: personally have learned a lot plus have a lot to learn.
