Question: Clippings and Passage Guide

I am preaching and teaching through the gospel of John right now and thought it would be a good idea to start a Gospel of John clippings file, so that the next time I preach or teach from John I can have assess to these clippings. Is there any way to make these clippings show up under "My Content" in the passage guide? I thought by tagging them with the correct bible reference this would work, but apparently it does not.

You could tagg those clippings as "John" for example and then include THAT TAG into the passage guide, or tag all your quotes on passages like "Tag: passage" and then include THAT TAG in the passage guide, and then it would auto search any clippings you have under Tag:"passage"

However, I see that you are hoping that it would recognize a clipping tagged as a verse reference. What if you added the verse reference into the "Notes" on the clipping? Maybe that would do what you are hoping.

The heading at the top of the Clippings is the field that is searched for a passage guide. There will be a default title, so you'll need to edit it to get it found.

For example, I took a clipping of Romans 9:22 into a Clippings file entitled "Love" The default heading on the clipping was simply Chapter 9. I added a tag of Romans 9:22 and entered Romans 9:22 as text in the note attached to the clipping. If I search for "Love" it shows up. If I search or do a passage guide on "Romans 9:22" it doesn't. If I do "Romans 9" it doesn't, but if I do "Chapter 9" it does.

So, edit your titles - just click on the actual title - it is the middle field (the left field opens the resource, & the right field is the date of creation) and edit it to a reference (you can add other words as well - topics) and it will find it.

Logos: I think this is something that could be made more effective if the default title was better linked to the entry in the resource.

I am working in John 16 this week. I change the titles of all the clippings to the verse they refer to in John. For example John 16:2, John 16:33, ect. I run the passage guide on John 16. Nothing shows up in the My Content section. What did I do wrong?
