Notes: 4.6 Beta 2

I like that Notes now have a split pane view. Great, Logos!

When selecting the Split view I can click on the note title (and if hyperlinked) and go to that resource. I am not, however, able to see the content of that note. If, however, I "add a note" I am able to see both the title and content. So, I'm sure this is a bug. I'll post a video if needed.

UPDATE: If I don't have a hyperlink in the title I can click on the title in Split view and see its correlated content.

I had the same problem. I found that you can click on the note icon to select the note. It may be a design decision to make the hyperlinks active in the left column, but I think it's a poor one. Also, if the hyperlink is a web URL clicking on it in the left column does nothing (even with a Ctrl click).

Same here, and since 95% of my notes are linked to scripture, clicking on the title and having scripture opening to the verse does not help me in reading the note because I tend to have scripture already open to that location.

I too wanted to say thanks for providing us with this split view of notes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I am aware, this is by design. I will put in an inquiry to examine whether that is actually the desired behavior or not.

I will create a case for this inconsistency (in the case that active hyperlinks in the split pane are determined to be by design.)

IMHO, I too believe that the current design is a poor design.

Thank you Logos for the notes TOC in the Split view. It fulfills one key aspect of the notes request in User Voice (http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4/suggestions/1619077-rework-notes-function-in-one-or-multiple-phases).

I use notes extensively (340+ files (mostly Bible, several topical and some for books) with dozens to hundreds of notes in each). The new TOC/Split view has already made my notes much easier to take, organize and use.

I love this design. I can click on the TOC note titles to see the note content and still visually see the note structure (with indents, references and titles) in the TOC.

It would be nice if when hovering over the title of the note in the TOC that it would pop-up the full note title (since many are truncated because of space in the TOC).
