Steve Runge has ANOTHER good article. You can almost make a sell-able-book of these informational blog entries. I still am copying entries from years back for my reference use.
But most interesting is the statement on Friday: 'The Old Testament resources will be shipping soon, and they’re available at a substantial discount.'

With a loosing argument with Jonathan on pricey resources, you sure can't beat the pre-pub price on this one.
Reasons I'm excited:
(1) To be honest the HDef format is easier to use than the current OT (and NT) ones that break out the sentence / meaning structure. I know Steve and company don't probably see this as a major benefit, but in Bible-class when you're in the OT, a quick glance can straighten a verse(s) out while keeping a literal-ish reading.
(2) I like to compare the 3 major sources (MT/LXX/proto-Samaritan and later Targums) and this is going to be very helpful, watching how the LXX translators structured theirs (I am NOT a hebrew-guru obviously)
(3) The blog makes an interesting point, taking an OT structure (Deu) and then comparing it to a similar challenge in the NT (Eph; both HDef).
Steve in a much-earlier forum reply strongly recommend I get the NT bundle. Stupid me did not. Won't make that mistake twice!
