iPad suggestion

Please make an option to select to:

Have all the pages, verse, chapters of the bible appear in the same place on the page, every time.

For example,if you have a photographic memory, like me, when reading an actual bible, I begin to memorize many verses, and where they are... To me, in "my bible" I'll remember things like, Romans 1:4 is on the right page, 2nd column, pretty close to the bottom OR John 4:7 is on the left, right near the top... And I memoerize them.

With an electronic version, every time I go to a verse or chapter, it automatically reformats and re-arranges the verses and they are different each time.

I guess I would just like to have Pages, if you want, and have the same verses, at the same spot each time.

Hope that makes sense. Anyone else memorize verse and pages photographically like this? - Many times I might not remember what exactly the verse says, but if I remember where it is, I can quickly go there, and read the whole verse

That is an interesting suggestion but I don't think it will get much support. Most people are more concerned with getting the complete section that they want to read on the screen in one view. This is important for highlighting and copy/paste operations. A restriction along the lines you suggest would scupper that aim.

Don't think you understand all of it.

I would like an option, or switch, how ever you want to word it to -Turn this feature suggestion On or Off.

You need this 'option' off for copying, scroll text, changing the font size... other features, that people are asking for most of them time.

However, if there was a way to select a feature like this to 'On' when you wanted it... That would be great!

I would mainly have it set to 'On', when I'm preaching from a particular chapter... that way it looks the same way from the pulpit or where ever, as when I've read it before at my home or study...

But I totally understand what your saying Mike, this feature would only work if you could turn it off, so many of the other amazing features would work smoothly...

Hi David

You have raised an interesting point. I love Logos and electronic media, but I still like to use my hardcopy Bible for that very reason of familiarity of where certain passages are on the page.
