Problem using speech function

Hello, I am using Logos 4.5 sr3 on OSX 10.6 {snow leopard}. I am also visually impaired and use OSX's screen reader to read the text on the screen out loud. This requires selecting the text in question. The text on the homescreen is not selectable and cannot be read by the screenreader. Am I missing something (often the case) or is this action not allowed by intent.. Thanks for any help.

Whilst I could get 'Voice over' to work on pretty much everything else Logos and the Forums seem to be no go areas.

Hello Mike, thank you for responding. I can use voice over for some things within Logos,
scriptures and commentaries for example by selecting the text and using
“command R”. However, this command only works for selectable text. The text on the Logos desktop homepage is not
selectable though, thus excluding the use of this command. The programmers at Logos were thinking of this
feature during development. Evident by the cool little gold star which moves
along with the screen readers narration. It cannot be used on the homepage
though. There is some great content on the Logos desktop homepage but it takes
me 2 weeks to read one page. (not that long but you get my drift)

I think it may be an artefact from the mail program that you are using - we usually associate it with Windows posters over here.
