New "Upgrade" -- Am I missing something?

I have found using Logos on my Android tablet extremely useful.  In fact, up to now, it has been the place where I use Logos the most.  Typically, while reading a passage from the Bible I will pull up Logos, access the Passage Guide from the menu at the bottom of the screen, enter the reference in question and read through the commentaries that come up.  The learning curve was rather long for me, but well worth it.  The convenience of having Logos' power was really useful.

Until now.

The app updated automatically (I really was looking forward to the new update) and this morning I found that all the functionality I was using (and expecting to be enhanced) has just disappeared!  The only search I can do is for books in the library, the bottom menu has disappeared, and I find no way to access the Passage Guide.

Surely the developers didn't do that and I am merely ignorant as to how to use the new interface???  Please tell me how to get my functionality back!

If there isn't a solution here, how do I revert to the old version?

    Hi John

    The only search I can do is for books in the library, the bottom menu has disappeared, and I find no way to access the Passage Guide.

    If you "swipe-up" on a verse you should get a bottom menu giving you access to PG, Comparison, Search, Share and "Add to Favorites". Do you get this?

    If you press the "Menu" button (at least this is the button my phone) you get access to the Library, the search function and so forth.

    This is a new UI design and includes a "layered pane" concept. To see this, go to the search window (from the menu) and swipe right and you will see different options appear.

    Hope this helps

    Graham

    The upswipe worked!  Thanks!  I'd have never thought of that.  I'm back in business!   :>)

    Glad I found this info, because I was going crazy after getting my update to 2.06 on my Kindle Fire.  I had no idea what had happened to all my menu options.  Whew!  Thanks!!

    This is part of the charm of the Logos desktop and mobile apps. Since Logos' approach to user documentation seems to consist of bullet points in the release notes and then allowing the community to support each other, there are always new things to be discovered or new users learning about barely-discoverable features.

    </sarcasm>

    This seems to be the way developers for Android apps think.  Put together a really great program and let your users "discover" all its features.  I had hoped that Logos would be different, but, really, their documentation for the desktop software is almost nonexistent as well.  They seem to think that their video tutorials are enough and they aren't.  A good written reference is irreplaceable.  I have found that I waste an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out how it works and I wonder how much of Logos' functionality am I missing because of this trial-and-error learning curve.  Your sarcasm is warranted.

    That aside, I really do get a lot of use out of Logos on my tablet and am enjoying the resource.   :>)
