Jonathan Edwards Search Locks Up Logos
Whenever I do a search for 1 Tim 1:1 in the Works of Jonathan Edwards it locks up Logos. Does this happen to anyone else?

Do you use <1 Tim 1:1> to search with? Does it happen if you search entire library?

I should clarify. When I search The Works of Jonathan Edwards for 1 Tim 1:1 the library results come up just fine. Everything locks up when I click the library result to open up the Jonathan Edwards resource. Something glitchy about the Jonathan Edward resource that freezes things up.

Reproduced here. Same thing happens on my PC running the most recent beta.

Logos chokes on large sections. Clicking around on that resource shows several sections that cause temporary lock-ups. I'd say it's probably because of their size.

I was unable to reproduce the crash, with what I think are the steps to reproduce. I opened both volumes of The Works of Jonathan Edwards and did a search for all opened resources. I did noticed Logos 4 stopped responding briefly, but I didn't experience a crash.
If these steps are correct, and anyone still has Logos 4 crash, please post the logs. Here a link with instructions www.logos.com/support/windows/L4/logging

It would appear to happen for me as well, but after about a minute it comes back! Try waiting a while and see if it recovers. There is still a problem, as everything else is immediate. But it may not be a permanent lock-up.

The resources are older Libronix DLS files (.lbxlls). It could be there is something in their tagging making it a little slow. If it is in that older format that means we haven't updated it in coming on 3 years now, and there could be a multitude of reasons for that. I'll see if I can find any more information about those books, and will share what I discover.

Try it without opening the resources first. Select "Works of Jonathan Edwards" as your resource selection and search 1 Tim 1:1.

It still didn't crash. THe behavior was more or less the same. Out of curiosity, can you open the resource that comes up for that search (vol.2), and click the little i in the top right hand corner of the panel? Then scroll down to the bottom and paste the information next to "Support Info".

And I guess it doesn't crash the program it just causes it to hang for a few minutes and become unresponsive. If I walk away and come back sometime later, it does eventually open.
